PT Blackwoods Indonesia is a subsidiary of Blackwoods, Australia’s Leading Supplier of Tools, Safety Equipment, Welding Gear, Workwear, Cleaning, Hardware, Electrical, Fasteners, Site Services and Engineered Products. Our Balikpapan operation is targeting the Mining, Oil & Gas and supporting businesses within Kalimantan specifically and Indonesia more generally in these two key market sectors.Join our exciting operation as a Sourcing and Expediting Manager and you will be responsible for driving local purchasing and liaising with the Australian business to facilitate supply from within the organization.
To be successful you will be qualified with
Sourcing and Expediting Manager - Balikpapan Based
Balikpapan (Kalimantan Timur)
Requirements:
- Bachelor Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Purchasing, Engineering, Business Administration, or Accounting. A Master Degree is preferred.
- Male/Female, 5 – 6 years’ experience in a Mining, Oil & Gas, Service and Supplier Company at a supervisory level.
- Strong knowledge of purchasing flow and purchasing systems and expediting materials.
- Possess good exposure in vendor sourcing and procurement process, logistics, and inventory control.
- Excellent in negotiation and communication skills.
- Very strong verbal and written English at a business level.
- Familiar with HS codes, import permit requirements and their ongoing government reporting is preferred. Familiar with INCO terms and MRP system and experience in international trading.
- Knowledge of items for maintenance, repair, operations & safety equipment for mining, and Oil & Gas company’s is an advantage
- Attention to detail, results oriented, analytical, interpretative skills, customer oriented.
- Extremely high level of integrity and honesty is essential.
Please note that this role is a senior and managerial position & will control the local purchasing & expediting of the whole operation. As such, we require someone with a very solid track record of commerciality.
